# Severity View

> **What it's for:** instantly answer 'what should we fix first?' — every heurio is grouped into a severity column.

This view provides a quick and easy understanding of the number of heurios by severity, making it clear which issues to prioritize.

Heurio's web app offers four view modes for managing projects, allowing users to customize how they interact with and manage heurios — see [Kanban View](/docs/project-management/kanban-view), [Details View](/docs/project-management/details-view), and [Project Analytics](/docs/project-management/project-analytics) for the other three.

## When to use Severity View

- **Triage day-one feedback** — sort dozens of fresh heurios into the right severity quickly.
- **Pre-launch QA reviews** — make sure no Critical or High heurios are open before you ship.
- **Stakeholder reports** — Severity View screenshots make crystal-clear status updates.

For the meaning of each severity level, see [Severities](/docs/comment-heurio-details/severities).

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I change a heurio's severity from this view?

Drag the heurio card from one column to another. Severity updates instantly for everyone with access — no need to open the card.

### What's the difference between Severity View and Kanban View?

Severity View columns are pinned to Heurio's five severities (Critical → Neutral) and represent how important an issue is. Kanban View columns represent workflow status (To do, In progress, Done) and tracking. Use them in tandem: severity to prioritize, kanban to manage progress.

### Can I filter Severity View by assignee or page?

Yes. Use the project filters above the columns to narrow the view to a specific assignee, page, creator, or status — useful when triaging only the heurios assigned to your team.

### Which severities should I act on first?

Critical (red) and High (orange) heurios usually demand attention before the team ships. Medium and Low are tracked but not blocking. Neutral is for notes, conversation starters, or things you want to remember without flagging as an issue.
