How to use Heurio

How Do I Mark a Finding As Resolved?

Two ways to resolve a heurio in Heurio — toggle Resolved directly, or drag the card to your Done column in Kanban View. Here's how the two connect (and how to avoid the most common mix-up).

Short answer: toggle Resolved on the heurio itself to mark the issue as fixed. Separately, drag the card into your "Done" column in Kanban View to update its workflow status. These are two different fields — doing one doesn't automatically do the other.

There are two independent ways to close out a heurio, and it's easy to use one without realizing it doesn't automatically update the other.

#The two mechanisms

  • The Resolved toggle. Open a heurio in Details View and switch Resolved to on. This marks the underlying issue as fixed. It does not move the card in Kanban View.
  • The Kanban column. In Kanban View, drag a heurio card from "To do" (or "In progress") into "Done." This updates the card's workflow position. It does not toggle Resolved.

#Why both exist

Resolved answers "is the underlying issue actually fixed?" — useful for reporting and filtering. The Kanban column answers "where is this in our team's process right now?" — useful for daily standups and sprint tracking.

A heurio can, in principle, be Resolved but still sitting in "To do" if nobody moved the card, or sitting in "Done" but not yet marked Resolved if someone moved it early. For most day-to-day work, do both at the same time: toggle Resolved and drag the card in the same pass.

#A quick habit that avoids confusion

  1. Fix the issue in your codebase or design.
  2. Open the heurio and toggle Resolved.
  3. Switch to Kanban View and drag the card to "Done."

Doing both in the same step keeps your Kanban board and your Resolved filter telling the same story.

#Keeping track of what's still open

  • Severity View groups every heurio by its 1–5 severity, so the highest-impact open issues stay on top.
  • Details View lets you filter by Resolved status across all Kanban columns.
  • Project Analytics shows how the resolved-to-open ratio moves over the course of a review.
  • Export Project carries the current status into a PDF or CSV for stakeholders.

Frequently asked questions

If I drag a card to "Done," does that mark it Resolved?
No. The Kanban column and the Resolved toggle are separate fields today. Update both if you want your board and your Resolved filter to match.
Where do I see all unresolved findings, regardless of Kanban column?
Use Severity View, or filter by Resolved status in Details View — this shows every open heurio across all Kanban columns.
Can I bulk-resolve multiple heurios at once?
Not directly today — Resolved is toggled per heurio. If you have a large batch to close out, export the project and update in bulk from your own tracker, or resolve them one by one in Details View.
Why is my Kanban board full of cards in "To do" that I already fixed?
This is the most common mix-up — toggling Resolved doesn't move the card. Drag it to "Done" as a separate step, or make it a habit to do both together.
