Export Project

Export your Heurio project as a PDF or CSV report — filter by date range, creator, page, or status, and optionally redact creator info before sharing with stakeholders.

How to export a Heurio project

Total time: 2 min
  1. Step 1

Open the project in the extension or web app

In the extension, click the Comments icon in the bottom-left to open the project. In the web app, open the project's page directly.

  2. Step 2

Pick 'Export project' from the more menu

In the extension's overflow menu pick 'Export project'. In the web app click the more (…) icon in the top-right and choose 'Export project'.

  3. Step 3

    Apply filters (optional)

Limit the export by creation date range, creator, page, or status (Active / Resolved). You can also hide creator name, profile picture, and creation date.

  4. Step 4

    Choose PDF or CSV

Pick a format. PDF is a polished report with screenshots; CSV is structured data for spreadsheets, BI tools, or import into other trackers.

In short: open the project → 'Export project' → filter → pick PDF or CSV.

#Customizing your export

Before exporting, users can filter the included heurios by various criteria:

  • Heurio creation date: export only heurios created within a specific date range.
  • Creator: export heurios created by a particular project member.
  • Page: export heurios related to a specific page, allowing for focused reporting.
  • Heurio status: export heurios with only "Active" or "Resolved" status.

You can also hide the name and profile picture of the creator of a heurio or hide the creation date of a heurio.

#Export formats

You can export your projects in PDF or CSV format. PDFs make ready-to-share stakeholder reports; CSVs make it easy to pipe Heurio data into Jira, Linear, Sheets, or any other tracker.

Frequently asked questions

Can I export only the resolved heurios?
Yes. Use the status filter and pick 'Resolved' before exporting. The same works for active comments only.
Can I hide reviewer names in the export?
Yes. Toggle the options to hide the creator's name, profile picture, and creation date — handy when sharing reports with clients or executives who don't need to know which reviewer wrote each comment.
Which format should I pick — PDF or CSV?
PDF is best for stakeholder-ready reports with screenshots and formatting. CSV is best for import into Jira, Linear, Notion, Sheets, or any BI tool that consumes structured data.
Does the export include screenshots and device info?
The PDF export embeds screenshots, severity colors, and the captured device info per heurio. The CSV export contains the same metadata in tabular form with image URLs.
